The space left between the replaced spur and the end of the replaced lower part of the sheath is just about 2 mm wide
After spraying of three thin layers of black lacquer and clear gloss on top of white I finished restoring Alfonso and his Lipizzaner…

... The restored Sheath after two layers of matching gold paint sprayed with one special airbrush used for that type of works only .. The view on the restored spur..
... The missing reins again .I already had some experience with similar parts . In case with Nympenburg Riders that was more difficult to make them.
Here the dimensions of the belts - they were supposed to be a bit thicker and wider - allowed me to finish this part of the project quite quickly … First on the list was the belt which would in reality allow the rider to control the position of the horse's head vertically ,say during hand to hand combat .. It can be seen in the center, between two pairs of stirrups on each side of the stallion's head …
...The network of the belts fully restored ,in white. Tricky part of the job was to make sure that when set hard these belts would hang realistically suspended or strained in the air .I just had limited access to small and narrow areas at breakpoints to attach the replacements to . In similar cases the results of the restoration depends on personal skills of the restorer and of course ,on the quality and the specific properties of the materials and tools to be involved in the tricky process..
The view on the group from both sides...I hope you enjoyed this little demonstration of my abilities … :)
..I have to admit that in the end I didn't like just one of belts shown here …Can you Guess which one ?… Not perfect ... But it wasn't that bad to make me remove the whole side just to start all over again… It will look better after spraying some black paint on it ... anyway..
