        5- Broken Spur.
                All  broken parts missing.

Plate 2

Plate 3

Black plastic band removed , the area cleaned
   and prepared for some treatment

The old restoration is outdated . The color turned yellow-brown..
   The crack reappeared again ...

Plate 4
...I found both models on Numphenburg official website.
"Horseman trotting",The model  was created in 1917  by  Theodor Kärner..And  "the Horsewoman",also by Kärner created in 1915.."Hunting series" .. You can find the   images  of the same but intact figures      here ..
Those images  show the original shapes  of the the parts missing ..

Plate 5

Creating lines like these  requires access  to   very  flexible , reliable and long-lasting   materials and certain  miniature tools ... Achieving the effect of natural  suspension in the air and full harmony with the rests of original porcelain remnants  and the rest of the composition requires patience of a yogi  and  certain skills  without which the success is impossible..

Moreover, after hardening these lines were polished, the joints leveled  with another type of material with  the remnants of the  original stirrups to  achieve full smoothness of  the surface  so that the full restored line could be  passed  over joints -  freely and smoothly  -  by   a  tip of a needle  without any interruptions  .. All  the way from the beginning to the end.

I had to create 4 such lines on both figures  + one loop.. Each  to be of  the same physical  dimensions ,but of different length. Positioning /curving was carried out individually  in each case as seen on the photos...

Plate 6

Painting even small details with airbrush requires some precautions to be taken  .. The  rest of the  item around the damaged area  should be  covered with protective masking tape to avoid  the surfaces from overspray.. the reins should pe placed accurately  and exactly  ... In the areas were its not appropriate   ,some other materials should be used to achieve the same protective effect..Just like  on the image above , some areas  around the  the  "loop"  are covered with alternative protective material ,  seen  in black, under the restored rein  ..

These images were made by  an Amemerican  seller for  sale  presentation and were edited by me..

The missing spur on the right  boot of the horseman
is supposed to be just  4 mm long.. to match the  intact  one  on the other side

       After  gluing  small  loose   fragments
I  placed  the leg in correct position  and found out  that
there  was  a  gap  present   -
a bit of porcelain  between two broken  parts of the  leg was missing ..
The loop was really hard to create for its very delicate position between the hand of the man's body   and the horse's neck ...There was very  limited access to the area, but the delicately  formed  line was supposed to be attached ,shaped and polished with some tools..The   new materials plasticity  and compatibility  with porcelain made the task  a bit easier   but not much..
The old restoration of the leg removed ..The leg was repaired incorrectly before.. According to the image on the Nymphenburg's website It's supposed to be suspended in the air, but someone  either didn't  know about it or simply  decided to  cheat a bit  placing the hoof to the ground to get some  stability support for the restored area..
The previous restorer also made a cut in the porcelain and inserted a piece of cut metal plate  also to be used as a form of support for two parts to be linked together  ...
