About my Studio...

I work in a well lit , north facing room with good ventilation. The work environment in the room is not subjected to extreme changes in temperatures and humidity. I have access to the sink for washing the objects in, cooler with freezer section for storage of certain materials involved in the process and also electric oven also used for special tasks. There are Shelves and appropriate storage cupboards.

I use self built airtight drying box of my own design, controlled by timer, with constant incoming warmed up airflow with constant temperature . The incoming dry air is filtered completely from the smallest airborne particles and moisture , the temperature of the incoming warm air is controlled manually and can be regulated from lowest like room temperature or lower to as high as + 90 degrees Celsius scale. As a result the restored , painted over surfaces are clean from any irregularities or alien elements like dust, human or animal hair or whatever else including insects that can be visually noticeable on some restored surfaces of the objects treated by some "restorers" , sealed by lacquer and stuck permanently, soaring your eyes , especially on glazed porcelain items ... forever..

I use appropriate air extraction equipment - namely extraction booth suitable for restoration of small and medium sized items.

There are different types of , tools and materials at my disposal necessary for my work .Of course I use protective clothing, gloves, eye protection and face masks suitable for the appropriate hazard....

All latest materials and equipment involved are purchased around the globe and are suitable for various restoration and conservation works on items made of different materials .Some equipment that I use is selfmade for special purposes.

I work alone. .. or with my assistant.

I mainly specialize on restoration of antique or recently manufactured items made of ceramics of all types(earthenware, terracotta, stoneware,majolika , faience etc ... ), porcelain and china repair, but also capable of caring out restoration /conservation of items made of various materials like plaster , stone, marble, alabaster, wood, bone, metal, plastic, glass etc .Restoration of mirrors, frames , gilded objects is also possible. I'm planning to post many more different projects on " My Restorations" Page in the future to demonstrate my professional skills.
